Back in January, Jelly Roll made a commitment to take part in the 2 Bears 5K with Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on May 7.
Fast forward some three months and the country singer-rapper, 39, proudly revealed that his preparations for the event have already transformed his body and state of mind in a big way.
'I'm probably down 70-something pounds,' Jelly (born Jason Bradley DeFord) told People in a new interview. 'I've been really kicking a** man.'
The Antioch, Tennessee native — who recently said he bailed on a meeting with Diddy — went on to disclose the workout routine that he's been following since he made a commitment to get healthier ahead of the run/walk.
'I'm doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I'm doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day,' he revealed, before sharing how he's also changed up his diet and is 'eating healthy right now.'

While the Save Me star has been overjoyed with how good the initial results of his new health journey feel, he is far from done with his mind and body makeover.
'I feel really good,' he said, and then proceeded to open up about the immediate future. 'I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds]. If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I'm going to feel like by the time I go on tour.'
While Jelly has a number of concerts booked over the course of the next four months, The Beautifully Broken Tour with Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay doesn't officially begin until he hits the stage at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 27.
The tour takes him all over the U.S. through until October 27 when he plays the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Looking ahead to hitting the road, the Halfway To Hell crooner maintains he's looking forward to meeting some of his fans face-to-face to hear the different ways they've connected with his songs.
'I'm looking forward to being able to show them my gratitude in person,' he said. 'I've always said this, and I mean it man, I know my music touches people different. My songs aren't something you listen to by the pool on a Saturday.'
He added, 'My music's something you listen to that really gets you through something, and it means so much to stand in front of them and meet as many them as I can every night. I wish I could have lunch with anybody my song's ever helped.'
With his new healthier mindset now a priority, the husband and father of two even now take a moment to focus on his wellness before every concert.
'I've been focusing more on my health recently – so we've added time before to take a min and a breath before the show too,' he told Us Weekly last month.

Jelly also gives credit for his healthier mentality to his wife Bunnie XO (otherwise known as Alyssa DeFord), 44, who's been by his side encouraging him the entire time.
The couple first met at one of his 2015 concerts in Las Vegas, and then tied the knot the following year with his two children by side.
Jelly is also proud father of daughter Bailee, 15, and son Noah, seven, both of which are from previous relationships.
With the 2 Bears 5 in May fast approaching the Grammy-nominated artist let it be known he's not looking to ran past anyone with blazing speed.
'I don't know if "running" is going to be the word, but I'm definitely going to get the 3.1 miles done — probably a brisk power walk,' he confessed. 'My goal is to be able to do a 15-minute mile.'

The Even Angels Cry star is gearing up to hit the pavement for the 5K in Pasadena on May 7; he showed his enthusiasm since losing all the weight on American Idol this past week, which he documented with a selfie with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan
He expects his wife to be on hand for the event next month, but she's most likely going to play the role of supporter for him.
'Poor thing, she'd have to walk so slow compared to how fast she does 3.1 miles,' he joked. 'For me, a 15-minute mile, [I'm] going to be huffing it a little bit. For Bunnie, a 15-minute mile is her sauntering.'
Jelly Roll rose to mainstream prominence following the release of his singles Son Of A Sinner (2021) and again with Need A Favor (2023), the former of which won three CMT Music Awards.
That same year, he received a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist.
